Setup

• 10 cups per side arranged in a triangle formation (2 on 2 matches)

• A full 60 oz pitcher is used for each side, with each cup filled up half way

• Cups are only re-racked when there are 6 and then 3 cups left, and are re-racked into a triangle formation

  • 6 cups for 1 on 1 matches - players shoot two balls as if they had partners

Start of the Game

• Each team shoots 1 ball to "volley for serve"

• Whoever makes it starts with both balls (the cup that is hit is not removed when volleying for serve)

Made Cups

• Each team member shoots once

• If a ball goes in a cup, that cup is removed

• If the team makes both shots in different cups, they get one ball back. If they make it again,
they get that ball back again and continue until they miss.(must alternate shots between teammates)

• If both balls land in the same cup, it counts as only one cup

• Any cup that is knocked over is considered a made shot, and is removed (includes last cup)

•**Bouncing a ball in counts as 2 cups, the defending team determines which other cup
is removed (**see defense) (no bouncing in 1 on 1 games)

• If the shot settles and rests atop three cups, all three cups must be removed

• You may not shoot until you finish your beer

Defense

• As soon as a ball hits the table or a cup it can be grabbed or swatted away. This means if someone tries to bounce a ball in, it may be knocked away once it hits the table.

• If a cup is made and it is your turn to drink, you may not play defense until your beer is finished

End of Game/Overtime

• Once one team hits the last cup, the other team gets two shots to force overtime (if there
is more than one cup left, each team member must make their shot, no shoot till you miss rule)

• 3 cup rack, with each cup filled halfway

• Overtime is started with a volley for serve

• The rules for overtime are the same as the rules stated above
